The new site design that I worked on.
I project managed the creation of the new website, first having sent out a request for proposal to a handful of digital agencies. I provided overall direction and worked with the chosen design agency in-house as they imbedded themselves, meeting with all internal teams. I provided feedback on information architecture, customer experience and design. I also worked with another agency on content creation for the site.
The old CZI site went through incremental brand refreshes.
The first thing I did at CZI, was to migrate the current site and its staging site to a more secure server, and then secured the actual staging site, making it password protected. After that, the site has been updated visually as CZI has recently received a new visual brand identity. I worked with a small development agency to migrate the site and to make brand updates, based on mock-ups I created. I also manage and create all new WordPress page and posts on the site.
This was the eCommerce presence for Embarcadero Technologies.
One of the first projects I was tasked with was migrating the eCommerce platform, which included all product related content, SKUs and pricelists and project managed system integrations. I also redesigned the shop site, created mock-ups and worked with a small boutique agency to enhance my designs and then I worked with developers to implement my designs. I also created every single product page, 350 SKUs, and in three languages for every product launch.
Various incarnations of the KGO Radio website over the years.
KGO AM 810, was the number one radio station in the Bay Area for 30 years. I was there for the last 10 years of that run, and managed all digital initiatives. I was the first person to work on KGO's website back in 1998. I redesigned with a third-party, the site six times, creating mock-ups and working with the developers to implement my designs. I also personally designed and hand-coded all client microsites, update al web content, implemented audio streaming, and created all digital advertising, and marketing programs.
Various incarnations of the KSFO Radio website over the years.
For 10 years I managed all digital initiatives for the station. I was the first person to work on KSFO's website back in 1998. I redesigned with a third-party, the site six times, creating mock-ups and working with the developers to implement my designs. I also personally designed and hand-coded all client microsites, update al web content, implemented audio streaming, and created all digital advertising, and marketing programs.
The website for Showcase properties, a real estate company in the North Bay, specializing in large properties.
As a freelancer, I designed a new website with new functionality and a streamlined approach to accessing content that a visitor to the real estate website would want to find immediately.
ZoMexa was a startup that was trying to build a site that matched professionals with each other.
I designed what would have been ZoMexa's first website, creating the mock-ups. The site never launched as ZoMexa couldn't compete in the same space as the already established LinkedIn.
Integrated Digital Marketing Program for the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau
The Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau was searching for a way to increase visitors to the area, and to promote itself as a destination for wine connoisseurs and tourism. The Visitors Bureau was trying to take Sonoma Valley out of the shadow of the Napa Valley. I created an integrated digital marketing program that included rotating and fixed position ads within the KGO radio site, homepage presence, client micro-site, interactive map, E-Newsletters, on-air promos, online games, and audio featurettes. The program was so successful, that the Visitors Bureau made the same three-month buy of my program for five straight years.
Whack-A-Host online game.
Whack-A-Host was an online flash based game that I had developed to increase traffic to the KGO radio site, utilizing KGO's biggest on-air talents, the very opinionated talk show hosts. The game was a fun harmless way to possibly take a whack at a host who may have said something you disagreed with. I created the concept and worked with developers to create the game. There is a larger story that resulted from this game's creation that we can talk about in-person.
California Memorial Stadium jumbotron game.
The KGO AM JetCopter Jumble game starring "Oski" the Cal Bear's mascot, was a shell game I had developed for play during Cal Bears' football home games, played on Memorial Stadium's jumbotron. KGO aired the Cal Bears' game. I came up with the game concept and utilized branding elements from both KGO and the Cal Bears. KGO's JetCopter was seen in the air during morning and evening commute times for many years.
Data visualization
I worked with CZI's science initiative to gather the needs for graphics that would utilize data visualization to give information about the types of projects that CZI is supporting in the Human Cell Atlas endeavor. I then found a developer and worked with both the science initiative and the developer to complete the data visualization on budget and on time.
Infographic
I worked with CZI's science initiative to gather the needs for an infographic that showed all the participants working to map and characterize all cells in a healthy human body for the Human Cell Atlas project. I then found a developer and worked with both the science initiative and the developer to complete the infographic on budget and on time.

I worked with marketing and CX/UX to gather needs for the customer flow, and managed the creative team that created the app icon, store landing page and the various looks throughout the customer app experience.
A weekly e-newsletter that I designed, wrote and sent out.
I designed the templates for the KGO and KSFO radio E-Newsletters. Over the course of ten years I went through many template design changes. I wrote, created and sent out two E-Newsletters, one for each station, each week.
I designed and created thousands of banner ads.
During my ten years at ABC Radio, I created all digital advertising for all KGO and KSO clients that bought a digital component. Also, while at Embarcadero Technologies, I created every banner ad for our affiliate program, seven standard sizes, for each product, and in three languages, resulting in hundreds of banner ads at each product launch.
